# FAQ

## Getting started

<details>

<summary>Do I need crypto experience?</summary>

No. Sign up with email or social login and a wallet is created for you. Practice Trials are free. The one crypto step today is funding your wallet with USDC if you want to buy Keys, and [there is a walkthrough for that](/docs/wallet-and-store/getting-usdc-for-the-first-time.md). Card payments are coming soon.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I get access?</summary>

Sign up at [size.club](https://size.club). You must be 18 or older, and Size is not available in every region: see the [restricted jurisdictions list](https://www.size.club/legal/restricted-jurisdictions.pdf).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I have to agree to terms?</summary>

Yes. You accept the [Terms of Service](https://www.size.club/legal/terms-of-service.pdf) during signup. All legal documents are on the [Legal](/docs/help/legal.md) page.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is my first Key free?</summary>

Yes. Signup grants a free Alpha Key.

</details>

## Trials

<details>

<summary>Am I risking my own money in a Trial?</summary>

No. You trade a simulated balance against live market prices. The most a Trial can cost you is the Key you used to enter. See [What you risk and what you can win](/docs/how-size-works/what-you-risk-and-what-you-can-win.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>How long is a Trial?</summary>

15 minutes. Five stages of three minutes, with an elimination at the end of every stage.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I pause?</summary>

No.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I run two Trials at once?</summary>

No. One at a time. Finish the current run first.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What can I trade?</summary>

Anything in the asset dropdown in the Trials terminal. See [Markets you can trade](/docs/how-size-works/markets-you-can-trade.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What do Stage Boosts do?</summary>

Each stage, one habit earns extra score, and the boost card on screen tells you which. See [Stage Boosts](/docs/playing-a-trial/stage-boosts-and-missions.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are medals?</summary>

Live recognition of good decisions during a run. They never add points. See [Medals](/docs/playing-a-trial/medals.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does Practice include the briefing and Your Grading?</summary>

Yes. Same format as a Key Trial. No Key spent. No Life prize.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is Your Grading?</summary>

A report after every Trial. Size analyses your trading across thousands of data points and shows how you compare to other Size traders. You get it win or lose. See [Your Grading](/docs/playing-a-trial/your-grading.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I need to finish #1 to see feedback?</summary>

No. Everyone gets Your Grading. #1 also gets the Life.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why is the scoring formula not published?</summary>

Published formulas get farmed by scripts, which hurts honest traders. What is measured, and which direction it counts, is fully public. See [Why the formula is private](/docs/playing-a-trial/why-the-formula-is-private.md).

</details>

## Lives and trading

<details>

<summary>Can I trade without a Life?</summary>

No. Terminal needs an active Life.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do Lives auto-equip?</summary>

Yes, if an equip slot is free. See [Earn a Life](/docs/after-you-win/earn-a-life.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I withdraw the funded balance?</summary>

No. The funded capital is house money. Your share of profits is what you withdraw. See [Profit split and Payouts](/docs/after-you-win/profit-split-and-payouts.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>How many Lives can I hold?</summary>

Unlimited in Inventory. Up to three equipped at once, each able to hold open positions; the Terminal trades one at a time and you swap from the side panel. See [Earn a Life](/docs/after-you-win/earn-a-life.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why are Alpha accounts only $100?</summary>

Alpha is deliberately small while Preseason runs. Larger tiers ship later. See [Product tiers](/docs/how-size-works/product-tiers-keys-and-lives.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens if I breach drawdown?</summary>

The Life ends and any earnings still on it are void. You owe nothing. Take Payouts as you earn: they are claimable on demand. See [Drawdown and risk rules](/docs/after-you-win/drawdown-and-risk-rules.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do I have to withdraw everything at once?</summary>

No. Transfer any amount of your earnings, any time. $5 minimum per Payout.

</details>

## Wallet and Store

<details>

<summary>Why add funds if I cannot trade from the wallet?</summary>

Wallet USDC buys Keys. Trading happens on Lives, where the capital is the house's, not yours.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I withdraw unspent wallet balance?</summary>

Yes, any time, to any address you nominate. See [Withdrawals](/docs/wallet-and-store/withdrawals.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What can I buy right now?</summary>

The Alpha Key ($1), plus your free signup Key.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What fees does Size charge?</summary>

One: $1 per withdrawal from your wallet to your own address, which covers the on-chain network costs Size pays for you. Payouts and deposits are free, and trading fees inside Trials and Lives are synthetic. See [Fees](/docs/wallet-and-store/fees.md).

</details>

## XP, achievements and Preseason

<details>

<summary>Do I only earn XP during Preseason?</summary>

No. XP is always on. Preseason is a campaign that ranks XP earned in a window for funded Life prizes. See [XP, leveling and achievements](/docs/progress-and-preseason/xp-leveling-and-achievements.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is Preseason?</summary>

A campaign distributing funded Lives to the most active players, measured by XP. It is open now.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Are prizes cash?</summary>

No. Funded trading accounts (Lives).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What are achievements?</summary>

Permanent badges for one-time accomplishments, most with XP attached. See [Achievements](/docs/progress-and-preseason/achievements.md).

</details>

## Money and risk

<details>

<summary>Is this a bank or a broker?</summary>

Neither. Size is a trading education and entertainment platform. You trade house capital under published rules and keep a share of profits.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I lose my own deposit trading?</summary>

No. You do not trade your wallet balance in the Terminal. Keys cost money. Life trading uses funded capital under drawdown rules. Your earnings can be paid out; the funded capital stays with the house.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I know payouts are real?</summary>

Check for yourself. Every Payout is on the [public ledger](https://www.size.club/payouts) and the reserve balance is [published](https://www.size.club/reserves). See [Transparency](/docs/how-size-works/transparency.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What token do payouts use?</summary>

USDC, on-chain, executed by smart contract to your Size wallet.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is Size a game or real trading?</summary>

Both. Trials are a competitive contest on live markets with a simulated balance. Lives are real funded accounts with real Payouts.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Will I need to verify my identity?</summary>

Not to sign up and play. Size can ask for verification in some cases under the [Terms](https://www.size.club/legal/terms-of-service.pdf).

</details>

## Referrals

<details>

<summary>Can I attach a referral after signup?</summary>

No. Link at signup only.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is an active referral?</summary>

Someone you referred who played a Trial in the last 7 days. Practice counts. See [Referrals](/docs/compete-and-connect/referrals.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>What rate do I earn?</summary>

During Preseason, everyone is boosted to 20%, the top rate, from their first active referral. A volume ladder applies after Preseason.

</details>

<details>

<summary>When do referral rewards pay?</summary>

When your accrued on-chain balance clears the threshold shown in your dashboard.

</details>

## Support

<details>

<summary>Where are the legal terms?</summary>

All of them are linked on the [Legal](/docs/help/legal.md) page. This guide covers how to use the product.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I found a bug. Where do I report it?</summary>

Use the bug icon in the top right of the nav, or in the profile dropdown. Accepted reports earn XP. Urgent issues: open a ticket in the [Size Discord](https://discord.gg/hbQcVVSQ8Q).

</details>

<details>

<summary>I cannot log in. Where do I get help?</summary>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://size.club/docs/help/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
