# What is a Life?

A Life is a funded trading account. You trade house capital under drawdown and profit split rules. Your share of profits becomes a Payout.

How you earn one, equip it, and what Alpha looks like: [Earn a Life](/docs/after-you-win/earn-a-life.md).

Full Key and Life tables: [Product tiers](/docs/how-size-works/product-tiers-keys-and-lives.md).

## Funded capital vs earnings

|                                  | Withdrawable?   |
| -------------------------------- | --------------- |
| Funded capital                   | No              |
| Earnings (your share of profits) | Yes, via Payout |

See [Profit split and Payouts](/docs/after-you-win/profit-split-and-payouts.md).

## When a Life ends

Breach drawdown or risk rules and the Life is eliminated. Earnings still sitting on a breached Life are void, so take Payouts as you earn: they are claimable on demand. The house capital was never yours to lose, and you owe nothing on a breach. Details: [Drawdown and risk rules](/docs/after-you-win/drawdown-and-risk-rules.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://size.club/docs/how-size-works/what-is-a-life.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
